Last year, Floresville competed at the Alamo District LDE Contest and for the first time in chapter history, four teams out of the 6 competing received banners, with two teams (Job Interview and Public Relations) qualifying for the area contest. Radio Broadcasting placed third at the contest missing Area by one place. team consisted of Tyler Johnson, Shelby Engquist and Staci Freeman. The senior creed contestant Kayla Clark also recieved third place at district. The senior Fam Skills teams consited of Luke Sisti, Matthew Hosek, and Cody Laskowski, they placed fourth at the district. The Junior Farm Skills team consisted of Eric Yosko, Barret Raabe, and Ethan Laskowski.

At the Area VII LDE Contest the Public Relations team competed by missed qualifying for the State LDE contest by one place. They recieved third place honors in the Area. Job Interview contestant Amanda Reed placed fifth overall at the Area VII contest. Public Realtions team consisted of Alex Lyssy, Brianna Brown, Madison Taber and Ryan Hubbert.
